Time-out from everyday life
Enjoy a beautiful sunset and an amazing seaview from the igloo, located in a secluded spot in the forest. Go to sleep in duck down blankets with Egyptian cotton, and spend the night under the stars. Wake up to birds singing, take a morning trip on the sea in your sit-on-top kayak or SUP-boards. Bring your own lunch to the popular mountain Vaagfjellet (located in walking distance from the igloo) and enjoy the great view. On your way back to the igloo, stop at our farm and say hello to the alpacas. Try fishing from the kayak or from land and barbeque the fish for dinner.
This is how a sunny day can be at Auna. However, a rainy or snowy day can be pretty nice too – sitting inside the igloo, protected from the weather, yet feeling like you are outside. A special experience.
Good to know
- Auna Sea Igloo is open from May to September, while Auna Eye is open all year round
- Bring warm clothing and good, preferably waterproof shoes (even summer in Norway can be rainy and cold)
- There is a short hike to both of the igloos in forest terrain that can be a bit wet. Auna Sea: 500 meters from the parking lot. Auna Eye: 150 meters from the parking lot (steep hike)
- Beds and linens are ready for you when you arrive
- Check-in time from 3 pm, check-out time before 12 am
- The igloos are most comfortable for two persons per igloo, but we can arrange extra beds for additional costs. Contact us about this
- Dogs/cats are allowed in Auna Sea Igloo, but not in Auna Eye Igloo
- Equipment for food preparation available in the igloos: storm kitchen (gas), mini gas BBQ, and coal BBQ, glasses, wine glass, disposable cutlery (in tree), cups, and plates
- Other equipment for your disposal: one fishing rod, knife for fish preparation, two SUP-boards, one sit-on-top tandem kayak (with two adult seats and one child seat in the middle), 4-6 litres fresh water for hand wash etc., 5-6 litres drinking water (tap water) inside the igloo, fire extinguisher, smoke detector
- In summer: if you don’t like the light at night, bring a sleep mask
- You can preorder a food basket of local, gourmet cheese and crackers, with locally produced apple juice etc. This basket is for two people, and can be enjoyed as breakfast too. The basket (cooling basket) will be provided to you at arrival, when picking up the keys. Total price: 470 NOK
- Outside Auna Sea Igloo, there is a steep slope down to the sea , thus we do not recommend bringing small children

The barn
Visit our newly renovated first floor of our old barn, where we have build a dining hall, a kitchen, a small farm shop, and restrooms for guests!
Alpaca
Visit our farm to meet these calm, fascinating animals – alpaca! You might get to hand-feed them, or take a selfie with them. You can also book a relaxing alpaca walk experience.
Recreation
Explore the ocean in sit-on-top kayak or SUP-boards, or go hiking up one of the mountains nearby. From the igloos you can walk up to the popular mountain called “Vaagfjellet”, which offers spectacular views.
