An old barn with new life

Dining room in the barn

With funding from Innovation Norway, we have restored a part of our old barn. It now includes a dining hall, a kitchen, a small farm shop, and restrooms for our guests. We’ve tried to keep as much of the original materials as possible, and let the old barn show through in the finished result. Our goal has been to take care of the history of the place, while also making the project as sustainable as we can by reusing what was already here.

Both private groups and companies can book the barn for different kinds of events. Contact us for booking and pricing.

The story of the barn

The barn was built in the 1940s, and was a home for both people and animals the first decade. A family of five lived in the barn while building the main house of the farm. The farm has a rich history of human activity. Archeologists believe that this land once was a Stone Age settlement, and among other things an old sword has been found on the property, which is displayed in the NTNU University Museum in Trondheim today.
